This single-story simple house has a contemporary design but takes the nipa hut’s traditional features that promote a climate-responsive design. The layout is intended for a lot that faces the SOUTH, where the hot noon sun hits.
The front porch is situated at the south side of the house to break the hot noon to afternoon sun. It shades the dining and living areas. The bedroom windows face the north so they are cool all day.
The roof eaves are kept at a minimum of 1 meter to provide shade all around the house.
The whole house is elevated to allow for wind to pass through underneath to cool the house overall.
Minimum Lot Size: (15m x 15.38m) 230qm
